From the moment we met, Bruno went above and beyond. His knowledge of the city, its history, and hidden gems was outstanding. Thanks to him, we had fast access to major sites like the palace, avoided the stress of big crowds, and got to truly enjoy the day. Bruno took tons of amazing photos of us, allowing us to relax and soak in every moment without worrying about capturing it ourselves.

He surprised us with thoughtful touches throughout the day—from making incredible lunch reservations right on the water to treating us to pastries from his favorite spot. It honestly felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with a close friend.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable, stress-free, and fun way to experience Lisbon, Bruno is your guy. We can’t wait to come back and tour with him again. Thank you, Bruno, for giving us a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Bruno's hometown is Sintra and he used to work in the tourism office.... read more For our day trip, he picked us up at our Lisbon hotel and drove us to Pena Castle near Sintra, and gave us the tour inside and outside of that castle. Plus he took us to the Regaleira, and gave us that tour and the amazing Initiation Well. Afterward, he pointed out the Moorish castle, and drove us in to the old city of Sintra, where we did some sightseeing of our own, and also with him, and took his advice on where to get a sweet snack and a drink. Then he drove us to the coast and stopped for us to take pics, and then drove us into Cascais, where we all enjoyed a late lunch by the water. Bruno is SO nice and informative and will be happy to share and tell you all about the area and its history, for as long as you want. We would be happy to book another tour with Bruno the next time we visit Portugal. Trust me, you won't go wrong hiring Bruno as your guide. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed every moment learning and seeing the beautiful history. He is also a very good driver.

Due to the threat of wild fires we were unable to go to the Pena Palace, which Bruno communicated to us in advance. He kindly offered to cancel, and offered alternative options to spend additional time in Sintra, Cascais, and Cabo da Roca. I’m so glad we took him up on the alternative plan.
He took us to the most beautiful, peaceful viewpoint of the Pena Palace so we were able to see it if only from a distance. He made a surprise reservation for my husband and I at an incredible restaurant (and no he’s not affiliated with the restaurant) in Cascais with phenomenal views of the beach and marina.
We had such a lovely day learning about Portugal, seeing its beauty and experiencing its culture thanks to Bruno. From the moment he picked us up at our hotel to the time he returned us we felt and were treated like family. My husband and I highly recommend any and every tour with Bruno!

So I reached out to Bruno to ask his opinion. Due to his wealth of knowledge, he knew exactly which areas may pose a problem and we were able to work out options. His communication before the tour helped prepare us for success! We truly loved this tour. All of the sights we saw were gorgeous! Bruno's personal knowledge of the area added a depth to the tour that is rare and precious. We saw such beauty in Pena Palace, Sintra, and Cascais. Our tour ended on a wonderful high note at a scenic and delicious lunch that Bruno had secured reservations on our behalf for. Little touches through out, like offering to take family pictures made it even better. This tour was one of my most favorites of our time in Europe.

Bruno Sales with DS aka DREAMSCAPE Lisbon Tours is so friendly and informative.... read more He showed up on time at our hotel in Lisbon and picked us up in his very nice van and drove us to Sintra, his hometown. He took us straight to Pena Palace and on the way, pointed things of interest to us. He also escorted us inside the castle and guided us every step of the way and gave talking points. Such a beautiful castle! We didn't have to wait long to go inside as we got up early and he had picked us up early. Also got to see the lovely old city of Sintra, and the Quinta da Regaleira and the Initiation Well, and later, he drove us to see the coast and beaches outside of Cascais. We also enjoyed a late lunch in the pretty seaside city of Cascais. Bruno is a wonderful guide and happy to tell you as much history as you want, and show you as much as you want. You will enjoy a great day trip with Bruno as your guide and you will learn a lot too. Fun fact: Bruno used to work in the tourism info office. He also speaks fluent English and we can't wait to schedule another day tour with him the next time we visit Portugal! PS-If you've never been to Portugal, you MUST visit!   A private tour of a lifetime  - We had planned our Lisbon vacation with our travel agent several months back and she scheduled all of our tours, which we had several during our visit. I have... read more to say, we were blown away having Bruno as our private guide. Although the tour had some pre-scheduled stops and visits, we had expressed an interest to customize our tour a little bit. Our travel agent said she would reach out and see what was possible. Everything on the original tour schedule was great but we wanted to try to see the Initiation Well at Quinta da Regalira and Bruno seamlessly made that happen and it was one of several highlights of our entire trip. I have to say that although our other tours were good, the tour with Bruno was worth our entire trip. He was very accomodating to our requests.

From the time he picked us up at our hotel, it was like meeting someone we had known forever and it just got better from there. When he says, he enjoys showing you his hometown, it's really like he's inviting you into his actual home. It's just that personal. He listened to everything we wanted to do and incorporated as much of it as possible into his tour schedule. We not only saw great places like the Pena Palace, Sintra and Cascais, but as mentioned, the Quinta da Regalira was a highlight, and we learned so much from Bruno's experience, it was like being in our own personal documentary on the History Channel. Also, he expertly timed all of our entries to each site perfectly to have less wait times and miss the crowds. On top of that, he gave us suggestions for great restaurants and we invited him to dine with us as we enjoyed his company that much. As we were discussing our other excursions, he even gave us tips for those as well and places to check out on our own in Lisbon. We can't thank Bruno enough and I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for a great tour guide.

We went to Pena Palace, Sintra, Cabo de Roca, and Cascais and he set it up perfectly, had time to do everything we wanted, his knowledge and suggestions were great, he knows the best picture spots, the Cascais lunch spot with was excellent and the views/vibe even better! We enjoyed all of Portugal but the memories of this tour / day will stand out for a long time A few tips - Bruno suggested we start early to beat the crowd, and we got the skip the line tickets - worth the cost if you are going during busy season.. take the short walk after Pena Palace for beautiful pictures from a distance, and lastly, if you like Gelato, there is a delicious spot in Sintra he recommended. He picked us up right around the corner from our lodging, and we were off on a full-day adventure that felt personalized and stress-free.

The drive to Pena Palace included some heavy traffic and winding roads toward the end, and without the tour guide parking, I think this part of the journey would have been really stressful if we tried to navigate it on our own. Since he's a certified guide, we were also able to skip the lines to get into the palace — a huge time-saver and something we really appreciated.

Bruno is super personable and friendly, and it’s clear he’s passionate about what he does. He studied tourism and history at university and grew up in Sintra, so he was an incredible source of knowledge -- not just about the history and architecture of the sites, but also about the many landmarks we passed during the drive and even places we mentioned we’d be visiting later in our trip.

During the tour, we learned so much about Pena Palace. He pointed out so many interesting details that we wouldn’t have noticed on our own, which really made the experience special and memorable. He also tailored the day to what we were interested in. We told him we wanted to explore the grounds, so he took us on a beautiful 30-minute walk to a lookout point with views of the palace and the ocean. Later in the day, he gave us the option to explore the old towns on our own and set flexible meeting points based on what worked for us.

Overall, Bruno made this such a great experience. He’s a small business owner who runs every tour himself, which was important to me when booking -- unlike other companies, where you might get one of ten different guides.
